IFC Mall, a landmark for shopping and entertainment complex, has launched its ESG campaign, “Better Life with IFC Mall,” to promote a sustainable future.
This campaign raises awareness about global warming and biodiversity conservation, using approachable animal characters to engage the public through a graphic storytelling approach. Each character is inspired by endangered species such as the Fairy Pitta, Blue Whale, Red Fox, and Polar Bear, with individual narratives highlighting practical environmental actions.
In spring, the Fairy Pitta character, Bomi, encourages reducing paper waste, evoking the image of lush forests. During the summer holiday season, Lemi, the Blue Whale character, brings attention to the dangers of microplastics threatening marine life, while also promoting the reduction of single-use products. For autumn, the Red Fox character, Tummy, sparks interest in sustainable fabrics, such as vegan or alternative fabrics. As winter approaches, the Polar Bear character, Gomi, will urge awareness of global warming on polar bears’ shrinking habitats and promote energy-saving habits like maintaining optimal indoor temperatures.
To drive more engagement, IFC Mall is running a social media event until October 27. Visitors to IFC Mall can take photos with the endangered animal characters and upload them to Instagram along with a personal pledge to take eco-friendly actions. Full participation details are available on IFC Mall’s official Instagram.
An IFC Mall representative stated, “Through this campaign, we hope for a world where animals facing extinction due to climate change can roam freely. We are committed to leading sustainable efforts and creating long-term social value.”
This ESG campaign is just one of IFC Mall’s many sustainability initiatives. These include monthly public transportation campaigns and energy-saving measures, such as the installation of electric vehicle charging stations. Last spring, as part of its zero-waste efforts, IFC Mall gifted decorative props to visitors from the Maison La Fleur photo zone used during the seasonal display.
